Akon Files Lawsuit Over 'Konvict' Fragrance

Akon has reportedly filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court against his former business partners Konvict Muzik CEO for using his name for a new perfume without permission.

According to papers filed in Manhattan Federal Court, Akon was recently in talks with developers about releasing a fragrance. But, he was surprised to find out that Konvict Muzik CEO had formed Konvict Cosmetics International and began selling the fragrance without seeking his approval.

Akon is demanding the company to halt production of both products immediately, but there's no word on whether he's seeking monetary damages.
