Akon calls his upcoming album "Stadium," "high energy," which is slated to release on April or May. "It's going to be big," the Senegal-born singer told during his recording session in Miami recently. "I'm on a whole other level right now. My life is bright, and you'll hear it on the album."
When asked about his project at Friday's SOS Haitian relief concert and "We Are The World" remake. He said, "It's incredibly exciting that I'm working with people I really admire." He added then, "Twenty-five years later Quincy [Jones] calls me personally.... I never would have thought that would happen."
Along with the Friday's concert, the "Lonely" singer is co-hosting a Super Bowl soiree at Cameo with his buddy, T-Pain. "It's a sad situation, one of those that you can't really comprehend," Akon said. "I'm just happy that I can help out the cause."
